Ana Paula Penchaszadeh has a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), a Masters in Sociology and Political Science from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Argentina), a PhD in Social Science from the University of Buenos Aires and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Paris 8 (France).
She is a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET-Argentina) and at the Migration Studies Nucleus of the Interdisciplinary School of Advanced Social Studies at the National University of San Martín (UNSAM-Argentina). She is interested in issues relating to foreigners, hospitality and migration from a practical and theoretical political perspective.
The project
Title: Extended hospitality, or a reflection on identity beyond sovereignty
The aim of the academic stay was to carry out a comparative study of hospitality dynamics in Jacques Derrida's work and their relationship with Amerindian (non-Indo-European) scenes and cosmovisions, as they are (re)constructed and interpreted through Latin American interpretations of Gilles Deleuze's thought.
