Sandra Gayol

Sandra Gayol is a researcher at the CONICET and a professor at the National University of General Sarmiento (UNGS). She holds a PhD in History from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). As specialist in the social and cultural history of Argentina and Latin America in the 19^th and 20^th centuries, her research focuses on political emotions, citizenship, and death. She is the author of several influential works, including Una pérdida eterna (2023), Muertes que importan (2018), and Honor y duelo en la Argentina Moderna (2008). She has also supervised numerous researchers and doctoral students through international academic networks.
