Pedro Iacobelli Delpiano (M.A. & Ph.D. the Australian National University) is a historian of trans-regional connections between Latin America and the Asia-Pacific whose research focuses primarily on the cultural and political dimensions of migration, economic exchange and diplomacy since the 19th century. He is also interested in contemporary migration, Pacific studies and Japanese cinema. Pedro Iacobelli is currently Associate Professor of History and Director of the History Institute at the Universidad de los Andes in Chile.
