María-Eugenia Olavarría is an ethnologist, a research professor at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (Mexico) and a member of the National Research System. Her work focuses on the anthropology of kinship and body; the diversity and asymmetry of Mexican urban kinship; the GPA and the PMA.
