Fotini Assimakopoulou

Fotini Assimakopoulou is professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the National and Capodistrian University of Athens. Her research and publications focus on Franco-Hellenic scientific and cultural transfers (history of technology and science, 19th-early 20th century), the history of ideas (theories of human 'races', racialism, 19th century) and the history of the Balkan peninsula (nationalism, 19th century).
