Invited Researcher of DEA Programme Stay in France: from May 21 to July 1st, 2018
Dr. Fatou Binetou Dial holds a doctorate in sociology from Paris X Nanterre University, in 2006. Her dissertation focused on the marital path of women in Dakar: Undergoing marriage, expanding divorce? This research received the IRD Christiane Doré prize in 2007 for the best scientific publication of the year and was published in 2008 by Karthala edition under the title: Marriage and divorce in Dakar, women's routes. Dr Dial joined the Black African Institute -IFAN- in 2011 and she is the head of the Cultural Anthropology Laboratory since 2018.
