The project
Title: Towards a Hybrid Pedagogy in Architectural Education – Lessons Learned from Experiential Teaching Methods
"This research project explores the development of a hybrid pedagogy in architectural education, based on the integration of experiential methods. It starts from the observation that architectural education in Romania remains largely hierarchical and insufficiently connected to social and material realities. At the same time, alternative initiatives promote practice-based learning and collaboration with local communities. The research aims to analyze these two approaches and bridge the gap between theory and practice. It relies on a comparative study between Romania and France, where experimental pedagogies are more developed. The project proposes the design and testing of a pedagogical method adapted to the Romanian context. Ultimately, it seeks to strengthen the social role of architects and to train more engaged and critical practitioners. It also aims to build connections between academia, professional practice, and local contexts."
