The project

Title: From Analogue to Digital Experimental Poetry. Divergent and convergent lines in France and Latin America since the mid-20th century

"The project aims to document, through archiving work at the BNF and IMEC, the traces of two lines of international experimental/digital literature: that of the poet, publisher, and performer Julien Blaine (born in 1942) and that of the poet, teacher, and theorist of digital literature Jean-Pierre Balpe (born in 1942). The main hypothesis is that these two different lines help to build bridges that take into account key aspects of the (pre)history of digital literature. More specifically, to explore the international connections between these two lines, we will use the dialogues between France and Latin America as a case study."
