"La Mouridiyya en marche. Islam, migration et implantations"

Drawing on a wide range of oral and archival sources in several languages collected in five countries, La Mouridiyya en marche traces more than half a century of Mouride history, focusing on mobility and cultural transformations in urban areas. Cheikh Anta Babou is part of the emerging research on transnational Muslim migration, exploring the religious life of this Senegalese brotherhood through their migration and settlement in certain Senegalese, Ivorian, Gabonese, French and American cities from the end of the Second World War to the first decade of the 21st century.
