Thomas Stammers is an assistant professor in modern European cultural history at the University of Durham. For his undergraduate and graduate work he studied at Cambridge, and has benefitted from visiting fellowships at the Huntington Library, and St Anthony College and the Maison Française in Oxford. In addition to his academic work, he has worked as a guest curator on exhibitions (such as The Allure of Napoleon at the Bowes Museum in 2017) and is a regular reviews and features writer for Apollo.
