Stefan Feddern studied Classics (Latin and Greek), Philosophy, and Spanish at the Universities of Kiel (Germany) and Salamanca (Spain). He received his PhD in Classics (Latin) in 2010 for an edition and commentary of Seneca the Elder’s Suasoriae (published in 2013). In his German Habilitation he analysed ancient theories of literary fiction (published in 2018). He is currently Assistant Professor, persuing a project (funded by the German Research Association) on poetics in early modern times at the Petrarch institute of the University of Cologne.
