The project
Title: Green Horizons: Ethnography of Climate Adaptation in Rural Communities of Mens, Trièves (Isère, France)
This project explores environmental practices and community adaptation strategies in two mountainous regions: Trièves, France, and the Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan. Through an ethnographic and comparative approach, the study highlights the dynamics between natural resource management, local institutions, and cultural responses to climate change. Focusing on pastoralism, land use, and ecological challenges, this work seeks to understand how distinct cultural and historical contexts shape local solutions to global issues. The ultimate goal is to contribute to an interdisciplinary reflection on environmental sustainability in rural and mountainous areas.
