Qualified for the position of Maître de conférences in Ancient Philosophy and Classical Languages, he is currently Senior Researcher at the Institute of Humanities, Seoul National University, where he also teaches Latin language and literature. The project

Title: Revision of the critical edition of Boethius' first commentary on Porphyry's Isagoge, together with the French translation and philosophical commentary

"This project aims to finalize the publication, in the form of a monograph, of a doctoral work devoted to the critical edition, French translation, and commentary of Boethius’ first commentary on Porphyry’s Isagoge, a treatise on Aristotelian logic composed in Latin in the sixth century. This foundational text, still unpublished in any modern language, was the subject of an initial analysis in my dissertation, jointly supervised by Paris IV-Sorbonne and KU Leuven. The current objective is to produce a thoroughly revised critical edition, based on the collation of ten Latin manuscripts, two of which remain inaccessible in Korea and can only be consulted at the IRHT in Paris. Furthermore, the preparation of the philosophical commentary requires direct access to rare works and resources, most of which are preserved in major Parisian libraries. The requested stay at the Maison Suger would thus enable me to complete this research by consulting the missing manuscripts, specialized works, and by collaborating closely with my former supervisor, Carlos Lévy, with a view to publication at Brepols."
