Iliana Mignaqui

Invited researcher of the Global Cities Chair 

Iliana Mignaqui is an urban planner, professor in "Public Policies and Territory" at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Buenos Aires and Head of the Urban Project Workshop at the School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the same University, where she also runs the "Urbanism and Town" Research Program. The main lines of research are oriented towards urban policies and their effects on social dynamics and housing. For twenty years, his academic work has focused on the territorial impacts of economic globalization and the dynamics of metropolitan regions in Europe and Latin America.

As part of the "Global Street" project developed by the "Global Cities" Chair under the direction of Saskia Sassen and Richard Sennett, she is looking for new urbanities linked to indeterminate spaces in our cities, as well as the dynamics of exclusion and urban expulsion in the perspective of spatial justice.
