Frédéric Vandenberghe

Frédéric Vandenberghe is Professor of Sociology at the University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. He works in the field of social and sociological theory. He is the author of What’s Critical about Critical Realism? (2013) and of Pour une nouvelle sociologie classique (with Alain Caillé) (2016). During his stay at the College, he will work on a summary text on 'turning points' in the human sciences.

He was Invited Researcher at the College in the Geoffrey Pleyers research Initiative Social Movements in the Global Age, from January 8 to 28, 2018.
