Bruna Lima Siqueira

Bruna Lima Siqueira is a post-doctoral student in Political Anthropology and Climate Change at EHESS (France). She holds a doctorate and a master's degree in Education and works as a teacher and researcher on the master's and doctorate in Education at UNIVALI, focusing on Environmental Education, climate justice and public education policies. She coordinates the Santa Catarina BR branch of the Global Youth Climate Pact (GYCP).

The project

Title: Environmental education for dealing with climate emergencies: strategies for raising awareness and training young researchers/scientists

"This postdoctoral research project in the field of education focuses on environmental education as a key tool for mitigating climate emergencies, which represent one of the greatest global challenges today. The objective is to analyze various educational approaches worldwide regarding environmental education for climate emergency mitigation, to raise awareness, and to train young researchers and scientists by strengthening national research networks within the framework of international academic cooperation. The project aims to enhance the training and awareness of young researchers and scientists by reinforcing national research networks and promoting international academic collaboration. The central question of this project is how different educational approaches influence the development of researchers capable of addressing climate challenges. The project will be conducted by strengthening national and international research networks and fostering scientific cooperation within the Global Youth Climate Pact program. It also includes collaboration with the project "Support for Environmental Education and Climate Change Mitigation in the Congo Basin," which covers countries such as Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic."
