The project

TitleLe théâtre français et le théâtre argentin au XXIe siècle : relations d'échange, de circulation et de réciprocité

"Cooperative and exchange relationships between the French and Argentine theatrical scenes have continued to develop from the late twentieth century to the early twenty-first century. France is one of the main European countries where Argentine theatre has found significant reception.

This project is based on a central question, which may be considered its research problem: what are the characteristics, challenges, and contributions of exchange relations between French and Argentine theatre during the first quarter of the twenty-first century?

The project aims at exploring and analyzing theatrical works and experiences of reciprocal exchange between France and Argentina within the sociocultural and political context of the twenty-first century. It also seeks to identify and compare the similarities and differences between the theatrical scenes of the two countries, as well as to highlight the thematic features and the aesthetic, political, and discursive strategies that theatre practitioners in both countries use to address various aspects of contemporary societies."
