The project
Title: Income segregation, spatial segregation, and income inequality in Israel, 1995-2022: Trends, relationships and mechanisms
"My research project focuses on the impact of spatial segregation on socio-economic inequalities. I am particularly interested in segregation between ethnic or racial groups and in how these territorial disparities generate other forms of inequality, especially socio-economic and health-related. My aim is to highlight the mechanisms through which spatial segregation translates into multiple inequalities. In particular, I examine the role of the labour market, the housing market and economic development policies, as well as access to healthcare and the geographical distribution of health services, which can transform spatial inequalities into health inequalities."
