Aidana Otynshiyeva

Aidana A. Otynshiyeva is a PhD, research scholar specializing in human rights law, with a focus on human rights and freedoms protection. Her work emphasizes key contributions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and theory of state and law. She is the senior lecturer at Department of International Law, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Title: Human Rights Protection Mechanisms in the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Present Stage: Problems, Current State and Ways of Improvement

"The problem of improving mechanisms for protecting human rights today is one of the priority fields of the state and law at the national and international levels. Article 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan enshrines «The most important treasure of the state is a person and human life, rights, and freedoms». Therefore, the lack of protection of human rights and freedoms at the level penetrates all spheres of society, hinders its development and growth, raises the level of crime, leads to interethnic tensions and conflicts in the international arena, and poses a threat to the national security of states in broad terms. The purpose of the study is to consider the theoretical and practical problems of human rights protection in Kazakhstan today, to list the international and national human rights protection mechanisms, to investigate international practice, to propose effective ways to protect human rights today in Kazakhstan."
