Eighth session of the 2022-2023 seminar "Vers des sciences sociales non-hégémoniques" with Jessica de Largy Healy (LESC-CNRS).

For the past thirty years, debates on a global scale have shown social sciences torn between accusations of "northernism" and "southernism", between unity and fragmentation, between methodological nationalism and methodological fluidism, between Western hegemony and the temptations of indigenization. Yet the history and stakes of these discussions are little known in France. Each year, the seminar will welcome various French and foreign researchers working on the question of hegemony in the social sciences, always with the aim of stimulating reflection on the future of disciplines within the framework of global, non-hegemonic social sciences.
