Marcia Soares De Almeida has experience in primary and secondary education in the Brazilian educational system, and experience at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels in the Brazilian, Canadian and French educational system. She has experience in the arts and aesthetics, with particular emphasis on the performing arts. She works mainly on the following themes: choreographic art / research in contemporary dance; theory and criticism of art - aesthetics; choreographic composition; sensitive knowledge and bodily acuity; autonomy of the expressive body; body plasticity; inclusion of people in special circumstances (disabilities).
