Vladimir Gel’man is professor of Russian and Eurasian Studies in the Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki, Finland. His research is focused on domestic politics and governance in post-Communist Russia in theoretical and comparative perspective of contemporary authoritarianism. Author and/or editor of 27 scholarly books, author of more than 150 articles, published in leading scholarly journals.
