Violaine Jolivet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Montreal. Her work in urban and social geography focuses on the links between mobility and urban production in the Americas in a comparative approach. In 2015, she founded the TRAMES laboratory (Transnationalism – Americas – Metropolises) in Montreal and participated in several research teams including the CRACH (Collectif de Recherche et d'Action sur l'Habitat).
