Mathilde Lagrola

Mathilde Lagrola is a socio-anthropologist who obtained her PhD from the Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier 3 in 2022. Since 2023, she has been a post-doctoral researcher at Université Lyon 1 and INRAE (Institut National de Recherche pour l'Agriculture, l'Alimentation et l'Environnement, France). She is taking part in the Aquathèque project, an interdisciplinary project involving life and environmental sciences and the humanities and social sciences, which is studying the feasibility of an archive of water and continental aquatic environments in France.

Her research focuses on the relationship between scientific production, regulation and practical knowledge in the surveillance of health risks and human and environmental health. Through case studies of two fluids, milk and water, she looks at the indicators, knowledge infrastructures and debates that equip and run through surveillance.
