The project

Title: Les ramifications internationales de l’anticommunisme argentin du XX siècle

In Argentina, anti-communism has been the foundation of concrete and symbolic practices of persecution, the production of security and exceptional legislation, and the creation of repressive agencies throughout the 20th century. The research is based on the ambitious proposal to reinterpret political conflicts and state violence in Argentina through the lens of anti-communism. This also involves studying the link between Argentinean processes, and global processes, in order to observe how certain national conflicts have been perceived and reconfigured in light of the anti-communist dynamics circulating on a global scale. For the stay in France, the objective is to study the relations between the two countries in the construction of networks and policies to combat communism in Argentina.
