Ester Gouvea Martins is a doctoral student in cotutelle de thèse at the University of São Paulo, in Sociology (FFLCH/USP), and at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, at the Centre de Recherche sur le Brésil Colonial et Contemporain (Mondes Américains/EHESS). She received her master's degree in Sociology in 2019 from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and a bachelor's degree in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUCC).
