Aydogdy Kurbanov

Aydogdy Kurbanov is a historian and archaeologist who specialize in the study of the Prehistoric (Neolithic and Eneolithic periods) and the Late Antique Central Asia. He holds a PhD from the Free University Berlin, Germany. His PhD work was about the history of the Hephthalites, a nomadic people of Central Asia in the 5th – 6th centuries AD. He is currently an associated research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
