Invited Researcher at Maison Suger Stay in France: from October 4th to Decembre 20th, 2022

Artionka Capiberibe is Professor at the Department of Anthropology of Unicamp (University of Campinas), in São Paulo-Brazil. Since 1996, she has been working with the Palikur Amerindian people, who live in the Amazon region of the Brazil/French Guiana border. Her research is mainly devoted to two different themes: Christianity among indigenous peoples and the impact of economic projects on the lives of indigenous peoples in Brazil.

The project

Title: Visiting professor at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Paris Nanterre, in charge of the seminar "Debates on the theme of land" linked to her project "Politics as war: the ideology of the attack on indigenous territorial rights in Brazil".
