Ana-Maria Cătănuș

Invited Researcher of DEA Programme Stay in France: from May 2th to June 4th, 2022
After a master's degree in International Relations at the University of Bucharest and a PhD in history at the Romanian Academy, Ana-Maria Cătănuș first worked as an assistant researcher at the National Institute for the Study of Totalitarianism (NIST) of the Romanian Academy. Since 2007 she is deputy coordinator of the Centre for Russian and Soviet Studies within the NIST and since 2019 she is senior researcher within the NIST. In 2016 she was awarded the `Nicolae Balcescu` Prize of the Romanian Academy for the book The call for Freedom. Forms of dissent in Romania during the 1970s and 1980 s.
