Ana Kiffer
Ana Kiffer is a writer and professor at the Pós-Graduação Program in Literatura, Cultura e Contemporaneidade at PUC-Rio and at the Contemporary Art Studies Program at the Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF. She was Program Director at the Collège International de Philosophie from 2006-2012; between 2007 and 2012, she coordinated the CAPES-COFECUB Cooperation Agreement between PUC-Rio and Paris VII and was Visiting Professor at Paris VII in 2018-19 (CAPES). A specialist and translator of Antonin Artaud's work in Brazil, her research focuses on the relationship between the body and writing, and on the political affections of the body. She has recently published several essays on contemporary political hatreds in Brazil, Argentina, Spain and France. More recently, she has been working on a critical re-reading of Édouard Glissant's work, which has led, among other things, to the publication of several articles in France and Brazil, as well as an exhibition project for the 34 Sao Paulo Art Biennial in 2021 http://34.bienal.org.br/en/post/8917.
The project
Titre: Our heartbreak, the relationship (essay)
This work starts from a double question: one indicating that the contemporary literary/scriptural field is more configured in the agency of its effects than in the definitions of a substance proper to the literary. And another specifying that the great and impactful diagnosis of our times points to a crisis or a downgrading of what we have considered until now to be the social bond, this era of brutalism, according to Mbembe (2020). Unfolding everything that my intellectual trajectory has concretized and outlined as being the imbrications between bodies, affections and writings, this research seeks to reflect about the challenge that arises between Literature, or this post-Literature (MILLET, 2010; GEFFEN, 2017), and the rereading that I have been trying to undertake of the idea of Relation (GLISSANT, 1990).
