Relations interdites

At the crossroads of the history of the Second World War, micro-history, gender and law, this study provides a better understanding of the workings of the Nazi judicial system and the situation of French captives, as well as the day-to-day life of a civil society at war marked by profound changes, the role of sexuality and the function assigned to women's bodies. It contributes to a different approach to the war, through a history of intimacy, feelings and sexuality, and shows that these forbidden relationships contributed to the writing of a different history of Franco-German relations, one that circumvents the State's desire to control social relations and the bodies of its subjects.
