The EU and Eastern Partnership Countries: An Inside-Out Analysis and Strategic Assessment

EU-STRAT is an international research project that studies the relationship between the European Union and the countries of Eastern Europe. Begun in May 2016, the project will expire in April 2019.
The main objective of EU-Strat is to provide an inside-Out Analysis and a Strategic Assessment of the links between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Countries.
EU-STRAT will ask two main questions:
1. Why is the EU not in a position to bring peace, prosperity and stability to its eastern neighbors?
2. What can be done to strengthen the transformative power of the EU in its support for the economic and social changes of the six Eastern Partnership countries?
By adopting an internal perspective on the challenges posed by the transformations of the countries of the Eastern Partnership and the European Union, EU-STRAT's mission is to:
