On 3 June 2026, Éditions de la Maison des sciences de l’homme will host 15 foreign publishers during a professional visit to Paris designed to deepen their understanding of the French book market.

Throughout the year, France Livre and its partners organise professional meetings in France and abroad to foster exchanges between stakeholders in the publishing world. By welcoming the participants of the Paris 2026 Fellowship, Éditions de la MSH reaffirms its commitment to the international book industry, alongside major French publishing houses.

Promoting exchanges and international cooperation in the book industry: the Paris 2026 Fellowship

Since 2012, France Livre, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and SOFIA, has welcomed 15 foreign publishers specialising in literature and the humanities to Paris for a week each year. This programme aims to introduce them to the French book market and to strengthen their relationships with industry professionals in France.

Coming from Europe, the United States and Latin America, participants have the opportunity to build a strong international network whilst establishing lasting collaborations.

The fellowship begins with a professional day at the Centre national du livre, focusing in particular on developments in the book markets and the specific features of French publishing, such as the ‘rentrée littéraire’.

The programme also includes tours of bookshops and publishing houses. In addition to meetings organised at Gallimard, Elyzad, Albin Michel, Editis and JC Lattès, the fifteen publishers will be welcomed to the Éditions de la MSH offices on June 3 for a chance to exchange ideas with the MSH publishing team.

A lasting international ambition

Éditions de la MSH’s involvement in France Livre is part of a long-standing international policy championed by the FMSH. Through their participation in the Perspectives Programme in February 2026, dedicated to the Moroccan book market, Éditions de la MSH is strengthening its presence within international networks of academic and general publishing, as well as the circulation of research in the humanities and social sciences across borders.
