Second conference by Hsin Hsien Wang on the topic: Redefining the Leviathan: The Evolution of State-Society Relations in China under the Rule of Xi Jinping

In the past decade, many observers of China have noted that the relationship between the state and society in China has significantly changed since Xi Jinping came to power. What is the current state of this relationship and what will likely be its future evolution, especially following the emergence of last year's "White Paper" protest? These are crucial questions that will determine the future of China.
