Atlas de la grotte Chauvet-Oont d'Arc
Discover the Chauvet-Pont d'Arc cave through a unique cartographic journey, where art, history and preservation come together to reveal a rich heritage.

The Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme is organising an evening presentation of the book Atlas de la grotte Chauvet-Pont d'Arc, published in March 2020 by Éditions de la MSH.

This session of Livres en dialogue will bring together the publishing directors, Jean-Michel Geneste and Jean-Jacques Delannoy, who will engage in conversation with a guest who will offer a stimulating perspective on the subject.

At the end of the session, you will have the opportunity to ask your questions to our guests.

About the book

This first volume of the Atlas de la grotte Chauvet-Pont d'Arc presents a comprehensive inventory of the information contained in the cave. The interpretation of the remains is supported by abundant colour illustrations, including reconstructions based on a digital terrain model. Finally, captions in English and a detailed summary at the beginning of each chapter ensure that the international public has easy access to the information presented.
