Professor of Information and Communication Sciences, UPEC

Caroline Ollivier-Yaniv is a professor of information and communication sciences at the University Paris-Est Créteil and coordinator of the College of Scientific Advisers and Digital Strategy at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. She has been a scientific adviser to the General Manager of Higher Education and Professional Integration at the Ministry since 2016.

At the University Paris-Est Créteil, Caroline Ollivier-Yaniv was co-director of the Centre d'études des images, textes, écrits et communication (CÉDITEC) from 2008 to 2019. At the same time, she served as Vice-President for "Humanities and Society" from 2012 to 2016 and as elected member of the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2017.

An honorary member of the Institut Universitaire de France, her work focuses on the communication and discourse of public institutions as instruments of government, in the field of public health in particular.

Former president of the University of Picardie Jules Verne

Former president of the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), Mohammed Benlahsen has also chaired the A2U Alliance since 2020 and the Presses Universitaires du Septentrion since 2022.

Mohammed Benlahsen has been a member of the ANR Board of Directors since 2020. From 2018 to 2021, he was also appointed member of the "Rare Disciplines" Steering Committee and of the National Action Plan to Improve French Participation in European Research and Innovation Funding Schemes (PAPFE). From 2018 to 2020, Mohammed Benlahsen was also Chairman of the ANCRE Alliance and a member of the ATHENA Alliance Board.

Professor of physics and member of the Laboratoire de Physique de la Matière Condensée (LPMC) since 1994, his work focuses on disorder in carbonaceous materials.

Romain Huret represents the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) on the supervisory board.

Didier Le Bret is a career diplomat who has successively served in Moscow, Vilnius, and New York, at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations, where he was responsible for human rights and humanitarian affairs.

He later joined the Department for Development and Cooperation at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where he played an active role in negotiating the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. He subsequently headed the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department of the French Embassy in Dakar, before being appointed Advisor and later Deputy Director in the office of the Secretary of State for Cooperation.

Appointed French Ambassador to Haiti in September 2009, he oversaw and coordinated France’s response to the earthquake of January 12, 2010. From 2012 to 2015, he served as Director of the Crisis and Support Centre at the Quai d’Orsay, before becoming National Intelligence Coordinator to President François Hollande, a position he held from May 2015 to September 2016.

After taking leave from the diplomatic service, he joined ESL & Network as a partner in 2018, and also serves as a senior consultant at ALP, a consulting and investment firm founded and led by Anne Lauvergeon. In February 2023, he was appointed Coordinator for the International Summit on the New Global Financial Pact (Paris, June 2023).

He currently heads the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

Didier Le Bret has served on the boards of Action Against Hunger, the INALCO Foundation (Oriental Languages Foundation), and the Synopia Governance Observatory. He has also lectured occasionally at IRIS (Institute of International and Strategic Relations).

He is the author of the essay L’Homme au défi des crises (Man Facing the Challenge of Crises, Robert Laffont, 2017) and editor of the collective volume Rendez les doléances: Enquête sur la parole confisquée des Français (Return the Grievances: An Investigation into the Confiscated Voice of the French People, JC Lattès, 2022).

He is a member of the FMSH Supervisory Board, within the college of qualified individuals.

Nicolas Moizard represents the Université of Strasbourg on the supervisory board of the FMSH.

Emeritus Research Director at the CNRS (Center for South Asian and Himalayan Studies: CESAH, CNRS-EHESS) and Senior Researcher at the Asia Centre think tank.

After extensive fieldwork in India, both in rural (South India) and urban (Calcutta) settings, Jean-Luc Racine research then focused on three main themes: i) the internal dynamics of transformation in contemporary India; ii) the integration of emerging India within Asia and the new global order; iii) the geopolitics of South Asia, particularly Indo-Pakistani relations, India’s strategy in the Indo-Pacific, Pakistan’s regional policies, developments in Afghanistan, and China’s policies in the region.

He has published or edited a dozen books on South Asia, including A Pariah Life: The Laughter of the Subjugated (with Josiane Racine), Plon, Terre Humaine, 1995 (UNESCO Representative Works label). He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Politique étrangère, the scientific advisory board of Questions internationales, and the Editorial Board of India Review and Asia Trends.

Alongside his research activities, he has held numerous scientific roles at the FMSH: Director of the Franco-Indian cooperation program in social sciences (1992-2002); Director of the International Advanced Studies Program, in partnership with Columbia University (2002-2009); member of the scientific steering committee of the Paris Institute for Advanced Study, initially incubated by the FMSH; Scientific Director of the Foundation (2009-2013).

Since 2017, he has served as the Secretary-General of the Association of Friends of the FMSH. He represents the association on the Supervisory Board of the FMSH.

Jean-Pascal Bonhotal a été nommé commissaire du gouvernement auprès de la FMSH en décembre 2020, par le ministre de l'intérieur après avis de la ministre de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche.
