Petrucia Da Nobrega

Petrucia Da Nöbrega is a philosopher, professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, her city of Natal (Brazil) and researcher at the National Scientific Council (CNPq/Brazil). Since 2011, she is regularly invited as a professor at the University of Montpellier, at the University of Paris and at the École Normale Supérieur.

The project

Titre: The body and mental health: Dialogues between Psychoanalysis and Phenomenology

The problematic of this research concerns the relationship between Psychoanalysis and Phenomenology around mental health, in which the place of the body in psychic life plays an important role. The object of psychoanalysis, whether defined as unconscious or psychic functioning, is linked to the human being, involving relationships with the body. The research method will be based on phenomenology, including phenomenological reduction (Merleau-Ponty, 1945; Ricoeur 1965). We'll be working on ASM 13 archives (symposium proceedings, videos, scientific journals) that can show this relationship between disciplines, the body and mental health. We will also carry out surveys with psychoanalysts from ASM13/ CEJK to clarify the study's problematic and establish projects for scientific cooperation and dissemination of knowledge between the institutions we collaborate with. The research will be carried out between September and November 2023, and details are set out in the work plan.
