Marco Piazza

Associate researcher for the programme:  The politics of images

Marco Piazza is a Doctor of Philosophy and Associate Professor at Università degli Studi Roma Tre where he lectures in history and philosophy. Alongside researching into the links between philosophy and literature - from a theoretical perspective and through the prism of the work by authors such as Proust, Maine de Biran and Rousseau, he also explores the history of concepts.  He is a research fellow in the Écritures des Lumières team (ITEM, CNRS-ENS Paris) dedicated to manuscripts from the Ancien Régime. He is editor of the review Philosophical Inquires (Pise). With Sabrina Martina and Giuseppe Girimonti Greco, he directed the collection on Proust e gli oggetti [Proust and Objects] (Florence, 2012) and with Sara Guindani Effetti di verità : documenti e immagini tra storia e finzione [Effects of Truth: Documents and Images Between History and Fiction] (Rome, 2016).
