Imma Tubella has been President of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) in Barcelona since 2005, where she holds the Chair in Communication. She is a professor of communications. Previously, she was Vice-President of the Institute of Catalan Communication Studies (1995-2003) and Director of Studies at the Catalan Radio and Television Corporation (1995-2002). She is a member of the Catalan Advisory Board to Telefónica of the FUNDACC Foundation, of the Communications and Culture Barometer, and of the board of Pompeu Fabra University's Barcelona Media Foundation. She is also on the jury for Catalonia's national radio and television awards.
