Emmanuel Picavet

Co-Chair of the Ethics and Finance Chair  

Emmanuel Picavet is a Professor of Applied Ethics at Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He was formerly assistant at Edinburgh University, instructor in epistemology and then lecturer in Political Philosophy at University Paris-1 and, from 2009 to 2012, Professor of Practical Philosophy at Franche-Comté University. He heads up the "Revue de Philosophie Economique/ Review of Economic Philosophy" and is a member of the Société Française de Philosophie. At University Paris-1, he manages the "Philosophy and Societies" Master's programme and heads up the NoSoPhi (Norms, Societies and Philosophy) research centre within the Sorbonne's Centre of Contemporary Philosophy (in the UMR 8103 – the Sorbonne's Institute of Legal and Philosophical Sciences).
