Daniela Leonardi

Daniela Leonardi has a doctorate in applied sociology and social research methodology, and is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Culture, Politics and Society at the University of Turin. Her doctoral research focuses on the professional discretion exercised by social workers in homeless shelters.

She is a member of LOCI (Lower Classes and Public Institutions), an international research network coordinated by Vincent Dubois (UMR SAGE, University of Strasbourg), which currently brings together 43 researchers from 16 countries and aims to achieve an international comparison of the relationship between the working classes and institutions through common research questions and methods. She is a member of the scientific committee of the Italian Federation of Organizations for the Homeless (fio.PSD). Her research focuses on homelessness, the fight against poverty
the fight against poverty, housing issues, the link between housing and social policies, professional discretion.

The project

Her post-doctoral research focuses on the relationship between the working classes and institutions from a comparative perspective, as part of the "Inclusion, Inequalities, Differences" research program at the University of Turin.
