Bony Guiblehon
Bony Guiblehon is an anthropologist, professor at the University A. Ouattara in Bouaké, Côte d'Ivoire, where he is in charge of the Master's degree in "social sciences of religions". He holds a doctorate in anthropology from the École Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE). He is also an associate researcher at the Nagel Institute for the study of world Christianity, Calvin's university in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA), at the Al Mowafaga Ecumenical Institute, Rabat (Morocco) and at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, member of the Institut des mondes africains africains (IMAF). His work focuses on the relationship between initiatory institutions and political structures in Africa, including the rituals of the brotherhood of panther-men among the Wè of Côte d'Ivoire. He questions secularization and religious modernity in Côte d'Ivoire.
