Akmal Mukhammadiev hold a PhD with a specialization in Stone Age archaeology. Currently, he serves as the Head of the "Landscape Archaeology" Department at the National Archaeological Center, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. His research is primarily focused on the Paleolithic period, with particular emphasis on the raw material strategies, settlement patterns, and human-environment interactions during the Stone Age. He has an extensive experience in both fieldwork and scholarly research, contributing to the understanding of prehistoric archaeology in Central Asia.
