Özgür Sevgi Göral is a historian and political scientist, graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University. In 2017, she was awarded a PhD from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales for her thesis entitled Enforced Disappearance and Forced Migration in the Context of Kurdish Conflict: Loss, Mourning and Politics at the Margin. As part of the UXIL programme run by Campus Condorcet, she has been appointed holder of the UXIL ICM Chair for 2025–2026.
