Energy and Social Transformations

2025–2026 Programme | GRETS Seminar
Séminaire du GRETS
A seminar where scientific perspectives meet contemporary energy challenges.

Maison Suger is pleased to host the seminar series Energy and Social Transformations, organised by GRETS (Research Group on Energy, Technology and Society) at EDF. Each session will provide an opportunity to present and debate recent research in the humanities and social sciences, offering fresh insights into the changes reshaping the world of energy.

GRETS, a research team in the social sciences within EDF’s Research & Development Division, conducts studies on major transformations affecting both the company and society. Its work, drawing on sociology, political science, semiotics, anthropology and linguistics, explores lifestyles of customers, consumers, citizens and employees, transformations in work and organisations, energy transitions and the dynamics of innovation.

For 2025–2026, the seminar series will address four key themes:

  • energy transition and mobility
  • social acceptability and controversies
  • digital transformation
  • innovation and organisational change
