Shared Values in the Public Interest

This partnership unites two institutions with complementary missions: the FMSH, a non-profit foundation established in 1963 to foster research in the humanities and social sciences, and CASDEN, a cooperative bank originally created by and for teachers over 70 years ago. Today, CASDEN serves as a reference bank for all public service professions, with a membership of over two million.

Together, the FMSH and CASDEN reaffirm their commitment to the public interest, driven by the belief that knowledge derived from research in the humanities and social sciences is essential to understanding and addressing the transformations shaping our world.

CASDEN’s support will play a key role in strengthening the Foundation’s research and scientific outreach programs, broadening their impact across diverse audiences.

The mission of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme is to understand the major challenges facing our societies in order to take sustainable action. By supporting research and making its results accessible to all, it builds essential bridges between the academic world and citizens. By promoting scientific research and the work of researchers, CASDEN upholds the values of commitment that we hold dear. We are therefore delighted to have signed this partnership, which heralds a wonderful collaboration for the future. We are grateful for this support of our mission to disseminate knowledge.

A First Success: The 2024 Science Festival

The first tangible outcome of this partnership took place during the recent 2024 Science Festival. The FMSH organized an immersive exhibition-event exploring various perspectives on the ocean. Held from October 7 to 11, 2024, this event combined discussions, documentary screenings, and artistic installations, inviting the public to rediscover the oceans and reflect on the deep, enduring relationship between human societies and this complex environment.

CASDEN supports civil servants in all aspects of their lives. As part of its commitment to the world of education in general, and higher education and research in particular, it is particularly committed to supporting and promoting research in the scientific field. We are therefore delighted to have signed this partnership with the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme, which will enable us to support research projects and the publication and dissemination of knowledge. Great prospects for future work and cooperation!
