The Diffusion-Distribution department of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme is pleased to announce the arrival of several new publishers and journals, all related to the social sciences and humanities.
A new Architecture and Urban Planning section

La Commune (October 2025), Éditions de la Villette and Créaphis (January 2026) now form a new section dedicated to urban planning and architecture. These three publishers develop original catalogues that illustrate the influence of the humanities and social sciences in these fields. This new section strengthens our presence in bookshops.

La Commune publishing

Founded in Paris in 2013, La Commune is an independent publishing house focused on publishing works on architecture, urban planning, territory and experience. Inspired by the Paris Commune, its name pays tribute to creative freedom and collective emancipation.

Since its inception, La Commune has explored urban landscapes and their architecture, combining the voices of research, poetry, cartography, photography and drawing.

Créaphis

Two new journals

Diffusion-Distribution also welcomes two new journals: Inflexions (January 2026) and La Revue des revues (Ent'Revues - March 2026). Journals are a natural extension of books for the dissemination of scientific knowledge and have their rightful place at the FMSH, where we already handle single-issue sales and subscription management for around fifty of them. This diversity of formats enriches our editorial offering.

Inflexions journal

Since 2005, Inflexions journal, which publishes three issues per year, has sought to bring together civilian and military perspectives in order to foster new thinking about the actions of the armed forces. It is neither an academic journal nor a traditional institutional publication, and even less a communication tool. Supported by the British Army, Inflexions aims to open a dialogue with researchers from all disciplines and to bring together different, and sometimes divergent, opinions through a free and stimulating exchange of ideas, without any institutional message.

With 61 issues published, Inflexions has become a leading journal.

Founded in 1986, La Revue des revues is a biannual publication devoted to the phenomenon of journals in all fields (arts, humanities and social sciences, literature). The publishing association, Ent'Revues, is well known in the world of journals, as it has been organising the Salon de la revue since 1990, which is held every year at the Halle des Blancs-Manteaux in Paris.
