Le Comptoir is delighted to welcome the great Portuguese writer Lídia Jorge for the presentation of her latest novel, Misericordia, translated into French, with the participation of the work's translator Elisabeth Monteiro Rodrig, and the journalist Marie-Madeleine Rigopoulos.

Gulbenkian Library

The Gulbenkian Library is a research library focusing on Portuguese-speaking cultures, providing specialized information for researchers, academics and students.

The Gulbenkian Library has a general collection of some 63,000 items dedicated to literature and literary studies, history and heritage, architecture, visual and performing arts and contemporary culture, which is constantly growing and evolving.

The library also boasts an important institutional collection, comprising works published by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon and Paris, in particular catalogs of exhibitions organized by the institution.
