Marie-Aude Fouéré is an Africanist and lecturer in social and political anthropology at the EHESS. She is also a member of the IMAF laboratory (Institut des Mondes Africains).

As part of IFRA's cooperation with the FMSH, several post-doctoral students leave for East Africa each year to carry out field research for a few months, under IFRA supervision. African researchers come to France to carry out their post-doctoral projects, and are invited to research laboratories in Paris or the provinces.

Marie-Aude Fouéré is telling us about IFRA's development and major missions, current projects and how the UMIFRE is supporting the winners of the Atlas Programme.

This interview was conducted by telephone.

Histoires de mobilité

The FMSH and its partners offer mobility grants for post-doctoral research stays in the humanities and social sciences. Every year, the Atlas programme enables researchers to spend 1 to 3 months in France or abroad conducting field research.

Histoires de mobilité is a podcast series in which researchers who have taken part in the programme share their international research experiences.
