The journal AOC and the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme are organizing a unique evening to give you a sneak preview of a selection of books in the humanities and social sciences to be published in the 1st quarter of 2024.

The event will provide an opportunity to discover the wealth of knowledge produced by universities and research organizations, and to meet their authors and publishers under privileged conditions.

Sylvain Bourmeau, journalist, director of AOC and producer at the radio France Culture, will host the evening and present a selection of books, to be discovered during the event. The selection will be representative of the diversity of disciplines, approaches and themes covered by the human and social sciences.

The presentation will be followed by a cocktail reception.

AOC

AOC is an online daily newspaper of ideas created in 2018.

AOC is a journal of authors, conceived by journalists and written by researchers, writers, intellectuals, artists and... journalists.

AOC was conceived as a demanding micro-media. The only general-interest intellectual medium in France, AOC revives the encyclopedic spirit.

AOC publishes three articles a day from Monday to Friday: an Analysis, an Opinion, a Critique. Saturday: a major interview. Sunday: a Fiction.

AOC is accessible to all, with one free article per month, subject to the creation of a reader account. All articles are available to subscribers.
